“Everyone on the 4th row in this center section, stand up!” Marilyn said. So everyone in that section stood up. Marilyn Hickey stood in the pulpit of NLCF and looked the group over. Then she said, “Everyone on the 4th row in all of the sections, stand up!” So, we did. “God has given me a scripture for you all,” she added, “and this is it: The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk – but of power!”
That was in September of 2009 and what an incredible path I have walked since that day. One word from God can turn your world upside and such is the power of God’s words and Word over our life, especially when we embrace them and make them ours. My goal through these posts is to present a biblical worldview of many subjects as they have been unpacked by Holy Spirit into my heart and life. I pray that your world will be turned upside down by Jesus…just like Peter and John in the early church as described in the book of Acts. The most wonderful thing anyone can ever say about my life is what was said about these two men in Acts 4, “…when they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.”
